The 19th to 25th of August is the week where we celebrate all things Speech Pathology. As a disability service, providing communication therapy and ongoing support is critical to our work. Our Speech Pathologist Steph would like to highlight a quote from Speech Pathology Australia that brings home just how important communication is - “Like mobility or wheelchairaccess, communication access is enabling people with communication disorders to get their message across by removing barriers to effective communication, or providing extra support and strategies. Communication is not only a basic human right, but it’s the essence of what makes us human”.
Speech Pathologists can assist in the areas of speech, language, voice, swallowing and mealtimes, social skills, and multimodal communication.
If you or someone you know could benefit from Speech Pathology and has NDIS therapies funding, please contact the office on 4783 5866 to speak with our Speech Pathologist.
