We have had some really exciting developments in the areas of training and education. We can now offer the following courses in conjunction with our training partners:
Community Service Training Packages – we are encouraging staff or service users to study at any level they feel comfortable from a Certificate II right up to Diploma level.
We already have students training in the areas of Mental Health, Disability and Aged Care Services – and we are able to offer these at a level II and III right through to Diploma level. If you have service users who want to study in these areas – please encourage them to come forward!
Retail Services Training Package. This is a perfect package for some of our service users to enter the workforce or through studies at a Certificate level II or III level.
We are in the process of negotiating Certificate Level II and III in Hospitality especially for our service users.
We are beginning to get a great name for getting our service users paid ‘real’ employment – so keep your antenna alert for opportunities and let the Centre Team know!
If you know someone who would like to do these kinds of courses – please let us know – we would love to include them into our groups: it always easier to study when you are part of a team!
Organisationally – we now have our Training Needs Analysis completed for this year and we will be turning to our training partner to assist us in planning the delivery of our identified needs.
We are very proud to have had so many graduates from the Certificate IV in Disability and Mental Health and I know that we have been signing up a number of other folk to get onto the challenge of getting their qualifications.
